All About Me

Jamie Elyse Apperson has been a dancer since the age of 3. She has trained in a variety of styles including but not limited to Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop, and Mojah.  Her early dancing career began at Crystal's School of Dance in eastern PA, where she became and instructor and found her passion for choreography.

Jamie holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University where she continued her dancing career taking courses focused in Modern & Mojah styles, performing in local theater events including Cultural Conversations, and attending the American College Dance Festival Association Conference.  She was also a performer and choreographer for Ambitions Dance at Penn State. She currently coaches the A.C.E. Competitive Dance Team at MindBodyArt School of Dance.

Additionally, Jamie is a 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance and is certified to teach Aerial Yoga. She began her practice of yoga in 2010, where she took one class for fitness and relaxation, not knowing the positive impact it would forever have on her. She welcomed the thorough learnings about movement and anatomy offered by yoga. Her passion is choreography and education through movement. Her goal is to bring the benefits of yoga and movement to everyone, helping them to connect mind and body as these have done for her. Her classes are full of fun, mindful movement to assist in releasing stress and invigorating the the body and mind.
